How to Achieve Better Focus—It’s a Frequency and Energy that You Generate
How do you stop forcing focus and actually generate it?
This is a guided energy meditation for focus, presence, and self-energising—hosted by intuitive creative consultant and founder Kissey Asplund. If you’ve ever searched for how to improve focus, how to get into flow-stet, or how to be more present in daily life, this Generation Watts episode is for you.
Most people approach focus the same way—through raw force, effort, and willpower. But focus isn’t something pushy. It is something you generate. This meditation will teach you how to tap into that, using a meditation method rooted in ancient wisdom and the science of sympathetic resonance. Through sympathetic resonance, your nervous system may harmonize with the music, the rhythm, and the frequencies woven into this episode—calibrating your state from the inside out without effort. The more you practice this, the quicker you can access focus, clarity, and creative intelligence on demand.
Generation Watts coaches a modern form of meditation that looks and feels different from traditional Western practices. Here, we meditate with open eyes—because being present means to be anchored in time. The vibrant 432Hz music bed, featuring drums, is not background sound. It is a precision tool designed to keep your nervous system and body anchored in the present moment. This is so your inner energy can center, open up to abundance, and peak perform.
This episode guides you through an open-eye meditation technique, how to use the breath to meditate, musical rhythms and self-empowering phrases to deepen your connection with your own timeless creative intelligence—what ancient wisdom traditions call the inner divine.
Video viewers enjoy the view of a springtime Brooklyn sunset. The more presence you integrate into your life, the available you become to yourself.

Hi everybody. This is Kissey Asplund and you're are tuning into a meditation on the equation of being energized and focused. When we generate a lot of energy, it's [music] very important that this energy has somewhere to go, that it can land in [music] our bodies. If it can't, things go haywire. [music] And this is where we become out of balance. We don't know who we are anymore, and we can't generate energy.
This is an open-eye meditation where I recommend that you have an active stance or position. The reason for this is that I have meditated in many different modalities and I've found that when we all are speaking of meditation, we're actually referring to presence to be in the present moment to be in the current state. Therefore, it's very important, I think, when you meditate to meditate in a way
that you then can [music] integrate into your life. We can't always sit still, be in stillness, in quietness. Those are great modalities as [music] well. But this is all about being active, being [music] proactive. Therefore,
when you are in your stance, see if you can [music] activate your muscle. I also meditate [music] when I am doing an activity, exercise or cooking. See if you can sense your movements. Feel your body. Explore your environment [music] with your eyes. Touch. Taste. We're going to begin with a breath [music] through inhaling through our nose and exhaling through our mouth. So, we're going to begin with breathe in
and exhale.
Breathe in [music]
and
exhale. [music]
Breathe in
and release.
[music] Feel your body. Feel your breath while you continue in your own tempo. Feel the [music] beautiful dance that happens between your stomach expanding
and then your lungs release and then it goes down and falls down in [music] your stomach right underneath your belly button. This is very important especially for the women.
If you want, you can place one hand right underneath your belly button and the other hand right above your heart. And then you can feel your breath when you you're inhaling. This should be an expansive [music] breath as in the stomach should be becoming bigger on [music] your inhale and then your lungs expand. And then the beautiful [music] breath goes out, your lungs release, and then your stomach returns to its state.
Continue
[music]
[music]
[clears throat] with sensing each breath, each intake of oxygen, [music] which is one of the biggest systems that we have, [music]
provides a lot of energy to our bodies.
With each inhale that you do, you are inhaling [music] and converting it into new energy for your body. And with each exhale, you're also releasing toxins, [music] detoxing your body, moving things out that you don't need anymore.
It is a beautiful cycle. And this is one of the ways that we can energize [music] our body. Let's do a breath in. [snorts]
And let go. [music] We're going to say three selfempowering phrases. The first one is how can [music] I connect to my time bound physical form even more? How can I connect to my timebound [music] physical form even more? When we connect with our bodies, our bodies becomes the [music] home for our energy in this reality. And then we want to say, how can I connect my timeless elevated awareness into my [music] physical form? How can I connect my timeless elevated awareness into my physical form?
The elevated awareness is the knowing of you that have generated every single part of you. [music] This is the knowing. This is the potential that you embedded in the first cell. It is continuous
but it also exists in the first cell and then divides into all trillions of cells of [music] you that dance in this beautiful interplay. This is the elevated awareness of you that has generated. [music] You are the experience and you are the experiencer at the [music] same time. You are the elevated awareness and you are the elevated [music] awareness of your body. It's a beautiful interplay. And then the third phrase we're going to say is, "How can I activate [music] my inner pure power connection even more?" How can I activate my inner pure power connection even [music] more? We all have a personal gateway to the universe, to unity, to synchronicity, to God or whatever you want to call it. [music] This personal gateway is within you. You access the universe within and through that [music] it allows you access to every single zero point underlying [music] in this framework. This means that we become synchronized [music] in time. We become in harmony with this reality with others. We understand [music] who we are. We understand who others are. And we come into [music] a massive flow because everything in this reality in the [music] time bound is energetic.
[music]
It's very important to be connected [music] in all of these three aspects because when you are, this is when you can generate energy. This is where we become energized and focused.
[music]
Breathe in [music]
and let go.
And breathe [music] in.
and renew. Let go.
Feel how the energy within [music] you, the energy that each single cell of you is operating. Every [music] electric impulse, every nerve send out, every little thing that is energetic [music] that constructs your body movement. Feel how it is abundant.
With each breath, sense your body. Feel your body with [music] the breath's inhale and with the breath's exhale. We're going to add one [music] sense towards the breath to get another reference point [music] in.
I'm meditating [music] with you. So, I'm in standing position. And now I'm inhaling and then exhaling. And [music] I'm speaking and I'm also sensing [music] I'm also sensing my feet throughout this.
And while I'm sensing my feet, I'm also sensing [music] what I see. Observing. I am understanding where I am situated. what is happening.
[music]
And then with each breath you inhale, you feel the feet or whatever is holding you up. And then you also see your environment. So you [music] see your environment, you breathe and you feel and then you see if [music] you can feel and see and breathe all at the same time and explore that magnificent sensation that happens when you activate [music] several parts of you at the same time. When you come into [music] this beautiful energized multitasking [music]
capacity that you have when [music] we activate our senses and when we are in sensation
we are alive. This is when we are in the present moment. This is when we claim our presence. This is where we
control our [music] energy, where we become self- sustainable. Breathe in
and exhale. Feel how with each breath, there's more energy being generated. And with each exhale, there is more energy that you're letting go of that you don't need anymore.
The energy continues [music] to cycle over and over again. There is no lack. You are constantly energized. [music]
And one way we can really really amp [music] up our energy is to breathe in through the mouth and out [music] through the mouth. This is the breath that we use when we're running or when we're exercising [music] because it allows for more energy to come in. So, we're going to do a couple of those right now. Then, we're going to return to [music] the breath in through the nose and out through the mouth. So, I'm going to go on three. One, two, three. Breath in [music]
and exhale.
Breath in through the mouth [music]
and let go.
And breath in through the mouth
and let go.
Feel how your breath is returning automatically to inhale through the nose. and exhale through the mouth. [snorts]
Feel your breath. Feel your body. Feel your body breathing.
Look at your environment. Look at your body.
Can you sense all of it at once? Observe
with each breath you become even more energized, even more focused, even more connected with your physical form of your body, this beautiful generation that you have constructed, that you have generated. With each breath, you [music] are energizing this form. With each breath, you are becoming clearer and understanding who you are more.
I hope you find this meditation inspiring. 'till next time. Bye.
