Why Can’t You Eliminate Stress? Here is What the High-Performers I Coach Do Instead.
Many people think managing STRESS means avoiding it completely, but as many discover, resisting stress often creates more of it.
Our culture rarely teach us how to work with pressure levels and the energy-loads required for growth and transformation; to become our best selves.
In today’s video Kissey Asplund discusses how Energy relates to STRESS, techniques you can use today to regulate it, and the three phases of success high performers use to master pressurizing experiences into powerful growth.

What is Stress? Why does Stress Exists
On Generation Watts, we teach tangible techniques and knowledge so you may further your inner energy; further the alignment of your mind, body, and creative intelligence.
Today we’re taking a look at stress and how to manage it. What should you do when you’re stressed out? Why does stress happen to begin with?
For this to be productive, we must look at what energy is:
Energy is movement animating itself into atoms, subatomic particles, and molecules. There have been many observations and theories about this movement; ranging from string theory and quantum physics to everyday psychic talks about it. We can all agree that in order for energy to exist, there must be movement. Oscillation.
From what I’m seeing, in clients and from personal experience, when stress arises, it’s not the stress itself that is the issue—it’s all the emotions, feelings, interpretations, and associations that come with it.
What does this mean? Stress in itself is a pressure level, a loading of energy, that is internal or external. This can then evoke the experience of anxiety, out-of-body experience, ungroundedness, disillusion, non-alignment, fear, anger, and every emotion under the sun that you can think of. An event happens that triggers a response. Our body and system reacts. But what one individual may see as stressful, might not stress others.
The more adept you become at knowing yourself (your energy) and how to drive it, the easier you’ll be able to detect the initiation of the stress-pattern.
What Energy Has to Do With Stress
Stress has a terrible reputation because it often doesn’t “feel” good in the body and can cause intense responses (to the point of heart attacks, etc.). Again, stress/pressure is an inevitable part of how energy grows; our reactions and interpretations must become much more dialed in to avoid elevating the body in this way.
When people are great at managing stress; stressful situations become opportunities; energy-surges that move them forward in life. By them knowing who they are, they know exactly what the various emotional defense responses mean and can counteract them accordingly. These people are often great at aligning themselves. They are great at focusing their mindset when under pressure; knowing and giving their body the support it needs to deal with the situation. For example, they avoid high-carbs and sugars during stressful periods because they know the body needs the best fuel available to convert the higher speed of energy that is occurring.
Feeling stress, is an indicator that the system is pressurized, but this it not necessarily the stressor’s fault. It is often our lack of knowing how to deal with situations and the stressors. The answer here is to master our energy and become better at knowing ourselves. This includes:
What are our weaknesses and strengths?
What techniques work best for us?
How do we regulate the stress and fortify ourselves?
Your Opportunity—Using Stress as Leverage
In today’s video, I break down how to deal with stress and much more. We’ll also go over how masters deal with stress and why they remain solid as mountains in moments when it counts the most. There are reasons stress doesn’t get under their skin, and this is something that we at Generation Watts coach.
Every opportunity that you experience is a moment in time to become your greatest potential. The act of greatness may vary depending on the experience you’re in. What is called for today may change the next day (and so on).
My biggest recommendation here is: do not waste time—seize your opportunities. Today is the best day to start, because I’ve never met someone who regretted the day they opted-in and stepped into mastery.
There is much more complexity to why pressure levels exist and why energy acts the way it does under stress. But, here is another thing worth considering:
The law of resonance dictates that the more we focus on something, the more energy we feed to it, and the more space it’ll take up in our life. If we over-focus on stress—we call in more stress. On the other hand, if we focus on how to become our best self no matter the situation—we attract tools and people that will support us towards this. Eventually, if done accurately, we’ll stabilize at the energy-level and “conquer” the stress all together.
